What is the Ranch View Gang?
The Ranch View Gang is a social, distance running group that meets every Saturday to socialize through running in Fort Worth, TX. Whether you're training for your next marathon or half, or just maintaining your fitness, we invite you to come run with us.
How far do you run?
The base distance for RVG runs is 10 miles. There are always people training for their next marathon or ultra so it's not difficult to find someone going further. Most RVGers are veteran marathoners or half marathoners. If you're training for your first 5k then this group is probably not for you, at least not just yet.
How fast do you run?
RVGers vary in speed but paces typically range between 8:00 to 10:00 min/miles.
When do you run?
Group runs are every Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. (6:00 a.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day).
Where do you meet?
Meeting locations may vary occasionally but most of our runs begin at the Trinity River Trailhead at Riverfront Dr and S University Dr. When you come, just look for the group of runners gathering in the Hoffbrau Steakhouse parking lot.

What does it cost to join?
Nada. Nil. Zilch. The best things in life are FREE, including RVG. If it bothers you to enjoy such great running camaraderie without opening your wallet then consider buying someone breakfast or a round at happy hour. Otherwise, keep your cash.
What about coaching/training plans?
If you're looking for professional coaching and training plans for an upcoming race, then we suggest joining one of Fort Worth Running Company's training programs.
Where do you get your name?
We get our name from Ranch View Road, which has a couple of notoriously difficult hills. Have we mentioned that yet? Yes, we like hills. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.
Besides running, what else do you do?
We eat (there's always breakfast after an RVG run), we drink, we motivate, we encourage, we brag, we share, we cheer, we laugh, we celebrate, we party.
How can I join you?
Just show up Saturday morning at our meeting place and time. Details about starting time, location and route are (sporadically) posted in our Facebook group and on Twitter. Or just contact us and we'll send you the details.
